Alexandru ZAMFIR
With over 15 years of professional experience, he has dedicated his career to working on projects that support vulnerable communities, particularly Roma communities, as well as individuals with disabilities and those from challenging socio-economic backgrounds. His journey began with 5 years of volunteering, followed by roles such as assistant manager, mentor, and education services provider, including support teaching for remedial school projects. He has also conducted workshops and training and served as an educational expert on interculturality, diversity, inclusion, and Roma culture.
Additionally, he has contributed as a project coordinator, manager, and evaluator and has been a university Assistant Professor for Romani language, culture, and literature for 8 years, focusing on Human Rights and Romani Language, Culture, History, and Literature throughout his career. He holds a Ph.D. in Philology from the Doctoral School Institute of “Ovidius” University in Constanța, a Master’s in Cultural Studies, and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Petroleum and Gas in Ploiesti and the University of Bucharest.
