Am deschis etapa de ÎNSCRIERE pentru a IV-a ediție a Sesiunii de comunicări științifice / We have officially opened the registration for the 4th edition of the International Scientific Session!
Fundația Roma Education Fund împreună cu Facultatea de Ştiinţe Politice și Masterul de Studii Rome din cadrul SNSPA organizează a patra ediție a Sesiunii internaționale de comunicări științifice cu tematica “Gheorghianismul și fundamentele națiunii rome” care va avea loc în perioada 7-8 noiembrie 2025, la sediul SNSPA din București.
Sesiunea se adresează studenților de anul III, masteranzilor, doctoranzilor și cercetătorilor care doresc să-și prezinte rezultatele propriilor cercetări în domeniile istorie, filozofie, antropologie, sociologie și limbi și literaturi străine – specializarea romani.

Sesiunea de comunicări științifice ,,Gheorghianismul și fundamentele națiunii rome” este un tribut adus moștenirii umaniste a regretatului sociolog de etnie romă Nicolae Gheorghe, considerat inițiatorul activismului civic rom din România și reformatorul mișcării internaționale a romilor.
De la lansarea sa, evenimentul a devenit un punct de întâlnire esențial pentru cercetătorii, cadrele didactice și studenții pasionați de istoria romilor. Primele trei ediții au reunit un număr impresionant de specialiști, ale căror lucrări au contribuit la o mai bună înțelegere a trecutului și prezentului nostru. Am creat o platformă de dialog academic solidă, unde s-au prezentat și dezbătut idei originale și cercetări valoroase.
La sesiunea precedentă de comunicări peste 25 de cercetători, doctoranzi și masteranzi și-au prezentat lucrările în fața publicului. Temele abordate au inclus: “Romii la începuturile regimului comunist: Perspective asupra istoriei sociale” de Manuela Marin, doctor, “Roma Women: From Stigmatization to Affirmation. Stories of the Struggle to Exist Throughout History” de către doctoranda Luiza Medeleanu, “Roma Resistance: Mobilizarea resurselor pieței” de Tana Licsandru, doctor, și Cristina Galalae, doctor sau “Războiul Sfânt al României: Situația romilor în armata română” de cercetătorul Grant T. Harward.
The Roma Education Fund, together with the Faculty of Political Science and the Master’s Program in Roma Studies at SNSPA, is organizing the fourth edition of the International Scientific Session on the theme “Gheorghianism and the Foundations of the Roma Nation”, which will take place on 7–8 November 2025 at the SNSPA headquarters in Bucharest.
The session is addressed to third-year students, master’s students, PhD candidates, and researchers who wish to present the results of their own research in the fields of history, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, and foreign languages and literatures – with a specialization in Romani studies.

The scientific session “Gheorghianism and the Foundations of the Roma Nation” is a tribute to the humanist legacy of the late Roma sociologist Nicolae Gheorghe, considered the initiator of Roma civic activism in Romania and a key reformer of the international Roma movement.
Since its launch, the event has become an essential meeting point for researchers, academics, and students passionate about Roma history. The first three editions brought together an impressive number of specialists whose work has contributed to a deeper understanding of our past and present. We have created a strong academic dialogue platform where original ideas and valuable research have been presented and debated.
At the previous edition, over 25 researchers, PhD candidates, and master’s students presented their papers to the audience. Topics included: “Roma at the Dawn of the Communist Regime: Perspectives on Social History” by Dr. Manuela Marin; “Roma Women: From Stigmatization to Affirmation. Stories of the Struggle to Exist Throughout History” by PhD candidate Luiza Medeleanu; “Roma Resistance: Mobilizing Market Resources” by Dr. Tana Licsandru and Dr. Cristina Galalae; and “Romania’s Holy War: The Situation of Roma in the Romanian Army” by researcher Grant T. Harward.
