The Roma Education Fund will host its inaugural Educators Congress from April 5 – 7th in Bucharest, Romania, bringing together Educators from all backgrounds who work with Roma communities and care passionately about the need for change.

Since 2022, the Roma Education Fund has embarked on an historic new chapter in its work to transform education for Roma communities in Central, Eastern, Southeastern Europe. As part of this strategic change, we want to hear directly from Educators working with Roma communities.

We welcome Roma and non-Roma participants from Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia. We wholeheartedly embrace educators of all kinds – early years, primary, secondary, third level, teachers, mentors, tutors, teaching assistants and anyone who works in an education role with Roma communities.

Places are limited so we ask that you get in touch via THIS FORM, answer the short survey and let us know why you would like to attend. We will let you know if your application has been successful. Five participants each will be selected from Serbia, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Slovakia; ten will be selected from Romania. Final participants will be selected to ensure a diverse representative of roles and experiences by a REF committee.

Join us for a dynamic gathering where passionate individuals working in education with Roma communities will Collaborate, Inspire, and Innovate

The REF Educators Congress 2024, hosted by REF and a team from the UK’s Innovation Unit, an organization that supports education transformation around the world, will:
