Results Regarding Selection of Implementing Partner Organizations

Under theagreement with the European Commission Directorate-General European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) to implement the second wave of the multi-country Roma education project in the Western Balkans and Türkiye: 7 countries

REF announces the finalization of the selection process under the Call for Selection of Implementing Partner Organizations in the Western Balkans and Türkiye: Albania (ALB), Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH), Kosovo (KOS)*, North Macedonia (MAC), Montenegro (MNE), Serbia (SER) and Türkiye (TUR).

After the launch for the selection of Implementing Partner Organizations (IPOs), which was first opened on May 31, 2023, with an extended deadline and subsequently relaunched with the final deadline set on November 19, 2023, a total of 47 applications were received from the 7 countries participating in the project. Three applications were deemed ineligible due to submission beyond the deadline, while the remaining applications entered the evaluation process.

Following the evaluation process, 21 applications have been selected to receive grants, which are distributed on the following educational levels:

The project “EU Regional Action for Roma Education: Increased Education Support and Opportunities for Roma Students in the Western Balkans and Turkey (RARE), phase II” is funded by the European Commission through the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations and is implemented by REF Romania and REF Serbia.
